OECI: Framework for Supporting Inclusive Environments for Young Children
Project Description:
A Framework for Supporting Inclusive Environments for Young Children will focus on developing a framework and recommended resources that can be referenced to support the implementation of evidence-based inclusive practices for young children with disabilities. The project will begin with a review of relevant national data, published research, and state reports and resources; supplemental interviews, focus groups, and/or town halls will be conducted to complement existing sources and/or explore identified themes or topics in more detail with key stakeholders. UD/CDS will partner with the Office of Early Childhood Intervention (OECI) to use these resources to develop a framework that can serve as an informed decision-making tool for promoting evidence-based services and supports, with a focus on a mixed service delivery system. Included in this work will be the development of a community of practice for itinerant teachers and work with districts.
