Project Description:
Since 2016, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) has partnered with the Eppley Center for Parks and Public Lands on three projects: An e-course development project (2016-2017), a visitor use study (2021-2025), and an e-course revision and development project (2024-2025). The initial e-course project (2016-2017), which included development and hosting of two courses—was a result of ABMC seeking to develop courses that would (1) teach basic awareness on the causes of the World War I and the United States involvement in World War I for ABMC employees (though the audience was not limited to ABMC employees) and (2) provide training on interpretation and coaching to ABMC managers tasks with managing interpretive staff. In 2025-2026, Course 2, Interpretation and Coaching for ABMC Managers, was revised, re-developed and launched.
Eppley continues to provide web hosting and technical support 24-hours per day, 7 days-a-week on a secure and reliable infrastructure. Basic services also include annual report usage reports.
