UA-Tracking the Burden, Distribution, and Impact of Post COVID-19 Conditions in Diverse Populations For Children, Adolescents, and Adults (Track PCC)
Project Description:
The purpose of this project is to track and investigate the burden and impact of Post COVID-19 Conditions (PCC)
in diverse populations within the US, through surveillance and long-term follow up of cohorts with PCC in
collaboration with public health, academic, or healthcare partners. The four awarded surveillance sites will
conduct a standardized population-based approach to estimate and track PCC by age group, sex, race,
geographic area, severity of initial infection, and risk factors among persons with evidence of SARS-CoV-2
infections based on CSTE case definitions for confirmed cases or laboratory confirmed infections. Each site will
enroll at least 1000 persons and monitor how prevalence of Post COVID Conditions change over time among
persons at 3, 6, 12, and 18 months. The cohort of at least 1000 persons will enroll individuals from time of SARS-
CoV-2 infection identified from the denominator of identified COVID-19 cases for each site, regardless of
evidence of post-COVID conditions at time of enrollment.
