Fiscal Year:

Contact Information:
Project Description:
The Rapid Engagement Team Approach is an evidence-based practice at state vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies aimed at serving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) beneficiaries. Expanding RETA will improve engagement, employment, and wages and allow more people with disabilities to reach economic independence from public disability cash benefits. The project plans to: • create a toolkit to help VR agencies apply RETA in their offices • engage at least 3 sites to implement, refine, and enhance RETA • host a learning collaborative and provide site-level supports to identify and address barriers to implementation • gather perspectives of VR participants to embed lived experience into RETA • disseminate the toolkit to facilitate wider use of RETA among VR agencies With this project, we hope to increase adoption of RETA, better understand SSDI beneficiaries' lived experiences, and increase the number of SSDI beneficiaries achieving earnings above SGA.
