Project Description:
People with disabilities often face additional challenges during an emergency situation, and this project focuses on inclusive emergency planning and preparedness at the individual, family, local and state levels in Delaware. Staff provide training on preparedness for the public-at-large and individuals with disabilities and their families to ensure that their needs are considered in state and local planning efforts and that people with disabilities and their families are more self-sufficient when emergencies arise. Support for these activities is provided by the Delaware Citizens Corps/Delaware Emergency Management Agency.
