Center:
Fiscal Year:

Contact Information:
Project Description:
The ICI has a subaward from the Langston University NIDILRR funded RRTC to build equity in employment for Native Americans surviving the opioid epidemic. The Native Equity in Employment and Recovery will use the Collaborating for Justice and Equity model to identify strengths and possible solutions to assisting community members in their employment pursuits. Research activity two will develop a citizen research approach to collecting Native created stories about the journey to recovery and employment. Research activity three will pilot one community identified solution. The NEER project will build a circle of support to provide information across Native communities. The project is a joint effort of the ICI (UCEDD) and the Institute for New England Native American Studies.
