Project Description:
Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis are offered through the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester, in collaboration with the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics of the University of Rochester Medical Center. They all include a series of six required courses referred to as ProABA that have been approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as meeting the coursework requirements for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential. Individuals who hold master's degrees in a BACB designated acceptable area can take the ProABA course sequence as a "stand-alone" non-degree program. Individuals who dont have a masters degree in a BCBA designated acceptable area can opt to complete the masters in human development program, with a specialization in developmental differences. The ProABA coursework, when combined with BACB approved practicum experience, qualifies the successful students to apply to the BACB to sit for the BCBA examination.
