ECLN - Home Visiting Training

Project Description:

The Home Visiting Professional Development Team provides activities related to the implementation of a professional development system that provides training, consultation and coaching for 35 ECECD Home Visiting programs across the state. The work is focused on a relationship based, reflective approach using the New Mexico Association for Early Childhood Mental Health (NMAECMH) Competencies for Relationship-based Practice, Promoting Early Childhood Mental Health as the guide. Home visiting staff are supported through Community of Learner Sessions, Reflective Case Reviews, Reflective Supervision Sessions, and sessions in support of the Home Learning Environment for children from birth to five. The team develops online and interactive training and resources on topics that are evidence based, culturally relevant, inclusive and applicable to the diverse population of New Mexico. The team coordinates and facilitates biannual and regional meetings and an annual conference to help support the home visiting initiative.
