Missouri Traumatic Brain Injury Project 2021-2026
Project Description:
The overall goal of this project is to create and strengthen person-centered, culturally competent systems of services and supports that maximize the independence and overall health and well-being of people with TBI across the lifespan and the people who support them.
Objectives include:
Objective #1: To enhance collaborations and provide ongoing input and advice to support the development of this project through the MBIAC and other strategic partnerships.
Objective #2: To implement a comprehensive, culturally competent Missouri State Plan.
Objective #3: To enhance the capacity of professionals to support TBI survivors.
Objective #4: To provide culturally competent educational opportunities and resources to TBI survivors and families.
Objective #5: To increase capacity in statewide resource facilitation services.
Objective #6: To increase the capacity of state grantees through national collaboration with TBI Grantee Workgroups and attending national or regional TBI-related conferences convened by ACL.
Objective #7: To promote continuous quality improvement through evaluation of outcomes and processes and ensure sustainability of project efforts.
