Project Description:
The purpose of the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) Program is to establish a network that connects individuals who are engaged in farming, ranching, and other agriculture-related occupations to stress assistance programs. The establishment of a network that assists farmers and ranchers in time of stress can offer a conduit to improving behavioral health awareness, literacy, and outcomes for agricultural producers, workers and their families. The University of Georgia (UGA) is a part of the Southern Region Farm and Ranch Assistance Network (FRSAN). This effort is headed by the University of Tennessee. The FRSAN program is designed to help farmers going through a challenging time. If you are going through a challenging time, experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety, or depression – please reach out to us! We are here to listen and connect you with resources that may be a benefit to you or your loved one. Farming is a stressful occupation, but we need you now more than ever.
