<b>Undergraduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities</b> This is a 12-unit certificate open to students admitted to their major or to students who have completed all lower-division requirements in their major and who are enrolled in upper-division coursework in their major. Core course. FCM 496D, Disability Perspectives: Research, policy, and practice. 3 units, required of all students Two 3-unit courses, chosen from the menu below: FCM 496E, Disability and Society FCM 424A-C, Arts and Community Health: Intercultural Perspectives and Applications FCM/HPS 408, Disabilities in Public Health HPS 405, Biology in Public Health Research and Practice PSY 405, Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience SERP 416, Disability Perspectives and Narratives, which focuses on narratives written by people with disabilities about their experiences A one-unit workshop. FCM 497. Required. Student will create a portfolio that includes description and analysis of experiences in the disability community that have been set up in consultation with the students faculty advisor or UCEDD mentor. A two-unit Directed research experience. FCM 492A. Required. This is a scholarly project, typically a literature review or involvement in research
