Project Description:
The Sonoran Center is developing training modules that include the tenets and components of the HCBS Final Rule, along with everyday implementation strategies for the state Medicaid agency (AHCCCS) to post on their website for HCBS provider training. Goals: Develop training modules on the core components of the Final HCBS Rule. - The training will cover various scenarios, settings, and populations, and will be culturally competent, especially for the tribal population. - Modules will be applicable for both the DD and EPD populations, with content targeted for member populations. - The target audience is for provider staff, including direct support workers. - The recorded modules, composed of a Zoom recording and narrative may be viewed on the AHCCCS website, downloaded and posted to provider websites, and can be part of provider training sessions. Develop a provider supervisory guide composed of training tips, core competency checks, and notes to enhance the training for learner knowledge. Feedback obtained from ArtWorks families and participants. The state Medicaid agency has reviewed and approved the outline and provided feedback on the draft Powerpoint. Will be reviewed internally and sent to Medicaid agency with the updated trend list from CMS and ACL
