Project Description:
This is year 1 of a potential 3-year project, focused on gathering data, forming relationships, and creating a pilot project. The eventual goal is to partner with providers managing community placements (group homes) for Montanans with I/DD and their primary pharmacies and labs, our project would provide assistive technologies (AT), training in use of AT, and encouragement of ongoing use to decrease fearfulness and increase compliance with critically important blood draw and shots. Our project would have real and immediate impact on the health of Montanans I/DD by increasing compliance with blood draws, insulin shots, and vaccines through the use of AT and by strengthening partnerships with providers, pharmacies, and labs.
