Iowa's ADRC Training, Technical Assistance, Call Center, & Resource Database
Project Description:
In the fall of 2024, Iowa's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at the Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD) at the University of Iowa was awarded a grant through Iowa's Health and Human Services. Through this work, the UCEDD at CDD will support Iowa's Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs), providers, individuals, and caregivers through specialized training, technical assistance, our Iowa Compass call service and resource database. Our goal is to enhance service delivery, improve coordination, and strengthen outcomes for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Our ADRC Network Partners
Iowa's Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) network relies on trusted partners to ensure that individuals and caregivers can find the right help, no matter where they start. Iowa Compass forms the backbone of this system—building on decades of experience to offer a seamless, coordinated No Wrong Door approach. The Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Disability Access Points (DAPs) work together to serve as the network organizations providing navigation services across the state. Together, they guide Iowans to the resources and support they need to thrive.
