CSOC Inclusive Community Events
Project Description:
The Boggs Center will plan and facilitate at least one inclusive family event in Bergen, Burlington, Morris/Sussex, and Ocean County, for a total of at least 4 events. The events will be planned for and coordinated in collaboration with families living in each county. Families engaged in planning will be compensated for their consultation time. Events may be held in public spaces, such as movie theaters, libraries, or other spaces local families identify as meaningful. Each event will center around a family-friendly activity and will be advertised to local families. Family Support Organizations and other entities that serve families of young children will be asked to share information about the event. Events will be planned to be of interest to children of a range of ages so that preschool and school age children will be engaged. Special attention will be given to accessibility and sensory accommodations throughout planning and implementation.
