National center on health physical activity and disability
Project Description:
People with mobility limitations benefit from the same public health services as people without disabilities, but these services are not always designed to meet the needs of this critical population1. As a result, people with mobility limitations face physical and attitudinal barriers that make it difficult to access medical care, engage in physical activities, and maintain optimal health and wellness. Therefore, it is imperative to identify the health needs of people with mobility limitations and include them in the decision-making process to improve access to public health services, programs, and policies
