MDDC Training Project - Aging with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Project Description:
The training project will design, implement, and evaluate an innovative training curriculum for Area Agencies on Aging staff focusing on the intersection of disability and aging. The expertise and leadership of people with lived experience will be integral to every aspect of the project. A robust sustainability plan will be created to ensure this important training continues beyond the funding period. Our Vision is Healthy Communities for All. The proposed project builds off the success of several ongoing large-scale initiatives including a health equity grant that engages healthcare systems/providers to become Most Valuable Provider (MVP) certified. MVP certification indicates that specific criteria have been met and signals that the organization offers accessible and sensory friendly healthcare services.
