Project Description:
To increase the number of forensic fellowship positions as well as the number of trained forensic psychiatrists to serve the needs of a state with 29.5 million individuals and the largest prison population in the country; over 130,000. The grant was awarded to support starting a UT Houston Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship by July 2025 with two fellows – we plan to expand the forensic psychiatry fellowship program to six fellows by 2030
