        Project Description:
        Intro to Employment is a 12-week virtual class that supports high school students with disabilities in exploring careers that match their interests, strengths, and skills.  Over the course of 12 weeks, students develop skills including researching and assessing career options, connecting with professionals in their fields of interest, advocating for the supports they need, creating effective resumes, engaging in job interviews, and working in teams, culminating in a final project focused on one area of interest.
This course can be offered in-person, virtually, or hybrid. Classes can be made up of students from across the state or the University of Delaware can partner with schools to offer the class to their students.
