Talk With Me Baby in Rural and Underserved Communities
Project Description:
Talk With Me Baby (TWMB) aims to optimize the developmental potential of all young children, and specifically those at risk in rural and underserved areas, by boosting early language development and reducing long-term sociodemographic disparities in health, academic, and economic outcomes. This is a preventative approach to reducing developmental delays and disabilities in young children. This study is designed to develop a clinical protocol for a trial in a rural and underserved community to demonstrate the preliminary efficacy of embedding universal language promotion (Talk With Me Baby, TWMB) in well-child care (WCC) visit for enhancing the home language environment (HLE).
