Project Description:
Seed money from Eitas is to create infrastructure for increasing access to GNO program services for Jackson County families: increasing eligibility/enrollment for program services each month, establishing community partnerships/locations within Jackson County, targeted peer volunteer recruitment within schools, and GNO activities dedicated to increasing access for your community. Increased Access and Participation for JaCo Girls/Young Women: Provide monthly no-cost initial assessment visits for JaCo families on the waitlist. Recruit JaCo participants and peers for a "JaCo-heavy" GNO Group by Summer 2025. Plan/host 2+ GNO Community Events in JaCo settings, held quarterly. Implement bi-monthly JaCo-focused messaging to increase engagement in GNO Program activities and events. Strategic Partnerships to Promote Inclusive Communities: Meet with 2+ JaCo schools about the GNO Program opportunities for peer volunteers and training initiatives by March/April 2025. Operationalize system for peer-to-peer recruitment, communication, materials, and tracking referrals by April 2025. Develop 3+ new JaCo community partnership. Collaborate with Eitas to integrate GNO into the DD waiver services process. Enhanced Capacity: Provide weekly training for community partners before GNO activities and events. Recruit qualified mental health and school-based providers in JaCo for GNO-Teen Certified Provider training. Conduct two GNO-Teen Certified Provider trainings in 2025. Recruit JaCo girls/young women for GNO Program advisory or advocacy activities by Summer 2025
