Project Description:
The work of five regional partners is funded by VDH Title V to lead local ASQ screening and referral systems coordination. These local developmental screening initiative hubs build community capacity to 1) improve coordination of developmental screening services and supports across systems; 2) increase the number of developmental screens administered, followed by appropriate referrals; 3) engage families and providers through appropriate outreach and messaging. Initial Objectives: • Increase ASQ3 and ASQSE2 screenings • Systems Coordination of early screening, ongoing surveillance, referrals, and follow-up • Implement messaging strategies to promote the use of early screening, referrals and follow up • Promote the provision of culturally competent screening services • Engage families to inform phases of screening
