Project Description:
The project proposes to prepare 32 scholars via a unique and rigorous set of experiences that will prepare special education teachers who are currently employed as paraprofessionals for students with complex support needs (CSN) to engage in research- and evidence-based practices to support the inclusion of diverse (i.e., culturally, linguistically, racially, ethnically) students with CSN in general education settings and activities, ensure their access to and progress in the general education curriculum, and their achievement of positive learning and developmental outcomes. Scholars will be eligible for full certification in low-incidence special education upon completion of the program of study.
