        Project Description:
The Kansas University Center on Developmental Disabilities (KUCDD), in partnership with the Institute for Health and Disability Policy Studies (IHDPS) and the Center for Research on Aging and Disability Options (CRADO) at the University of Kansas propose this project to gather and analyze data to inform data-driven decision-making about planning to effectively and efficiently serve people on the waiting lists for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Physical Disability (PD) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) waivers. As described below, our aims are to (1) analyze the current and future service needs of individuals on the IDD and PD waiver waiting lists, (2) develop a methodology to identify individuals at risk for entering services through crisis exceptions, and (3) track and forecast data that will inform decisions regarding system capacity building and reducing the waiting lists for services.
