Project Description:
ABMC is an agency whose purpose includes caring for and managing historic American battle sites-monuments internationally (not in the U.S.). The success of the ABMC is based in part on how consistently the agency's staff tells the story of the U.S. and U.S. involvement in the battles represented at these sites. ABMC has identified a need for a new online course that can be consistently available to commercial tour guides at ABMC sites. ABMC also needs to revise an existing online course, The First World War and the United States, using a combination of evaluative methods including learner feedback and subject matter review. Eppley has developed online courses with ABMC before and hosted them on the Expand Learning Management System. Uniquely, the ABMC courses hosted by Eppley will be used mostly by foreign learners living overseas. The Agency hopes to increase consistency of knowledge about, and appreciation for, the many locations where American's have fought foreign military engagements across the globe.
