4.3 Public Service and Public Policy (Yang)
Project Description:
Public Service
Center staff and affiliated faculty are engaged in public service in two primary ways.
First, Center staff and affiliated faculty provide information, resources, and assistance in response to requests from self-advocates, families, community organizations, and other stakeholders. While many of these activities are captured in connection with specific activities, the activities listed here are not project-specific.
Second, Center staff and affiliated faculty serve on various public policy advisory boards through which the Center partners with other disability stakeholders to influence and shape public policy in Texas. Again, these activities often are broad-based and not project-specific.
