Project Description:
The Comprehensive Review & Analysis (CRA) project includes gathering information about the Developmental Disabilities Act, analyzing collected data, developing summaries, and reporting to the members of Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council.
Scope of Work:
UMKC-IHD staff will gather information to address the sections of the Comprehensive Review and Analysis as described in the DD Act using sources such as, but not limited to:
a. State of States;
b. Residential Information Systems Project (RISP);
c. Employment State Data;
d. National Core Indicators (NCI);
e. data from state agencies whose constituencies include people with Intellectual/Developmental
Disabilities (I/DD).
UMKC-IHD staff will also gather public input, from individuals with I/DD as well as their families or shareholders, on the issues of importance to Missourians through surveys that are culturally competent, and conduct listening sessions in each region of the State of Missouri. Staff will also analyze the data collected and develop meaningful summaries to inform MODDC about
services, supports and other assistance available, and the extent of unmet needs for services to people with I/DD and their families or shareholders; and will develop and use a Project Advisory Board that includes representation from MODDC, self-advocates, and family members/shareholders.
Four reports will be developed: an English full report, English plain language, Spanish full report, and Spanish plain language. All reports will include infographics and quotes from listening sessions.
