Project Description:
South Dakota's Center for Disabilities (UCEDD/LEND) collaborates with the SD Department of Human Services, Long-term Supports and Services, to oversee South Dakota's National Core Indicators (NCI) Aging and Disabilities survey project, which measures satisfaction of services received by adults over 18 years of age with a physical disability or individuals over the age of 50 if they are receiving LTSS services. NCI is used to track and measure outcomes, performance, and consumer satisfaction of services provided to individuals. Standard measures (such as support needs, rights, service planning, community, safety) can be compared across years, states, etc. and used to drive the direction of future services.
