Fiscal Year:

Contact Information:
Project Description:
The goal of the project is to improve access to long-term services and supports (LTSS) for individuals and family caregivers throughout Missouri. We will achieve this goal through a multidisciplinary collaboration, leveraging and enhancing a statewide network of leaders and LTSS stakeholders, that will lead a system mapping analysis and develop a comprehensive plan for an integrated and coordinated LTSS system. Objectives include: 1) Establish and enhance NWD System governance structure; 2) NWD System Governing Body will lead a mapping analysis from the lens of individual and families; and 3) Develop a plan to address identified caregiver access challenges and services or population gaps. This project builds on existing momentum within the state agencies focused on systems transformation, as well as the NWD activities coordinated by that University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC-IHD) over the last two years. UMKC-IHD and Alvarez and Marsal's (A&M) will work in partnership to support the NWD Governing Body to accomplish the grant outcomes. Expected outcomes include enhanced collaborations, a formal NWD governance structure lodged in a Cabinet level body, a comprehensive map of the structures, functions, and elements of Missouri's NWD System, and a State Plan informed by an analysis from the lens of individual and family caregivers.
