Project Description:
The Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism (DNEA) is a state-funded training and technical assistance network designed to support the needs of professionals as well as people with ASD and their family members. Support is provided on topics ranging across the lifespan on a variety of issues. The DNEA is advised by the Interagency Committee on Autism (ICA), a group of experts, state agency representatives, advocates, and self-advocates and family members who assist in identifying and sharing information about the needs of the community related to ASD. The DNEA's goals are guided by the Blueprint for Collective Action, the state strategic plan for supporting people with ASD and their families. Over time, the DNEA expects to build capacity across the state in order to promote greater availability of supportive, family-centered practitioners who are knowledgeable about evidence-based practices.
