Project Description:
The Access:Ability Scholars program is a co-curricular course of study through which selected undergraduate students explore, design, and advocate for inclusive, strengths-based approaches to disability in partnership with people with disabilities and their allies on campus, in the community, nationally and globally. The program combines a low number of credits with a variety of non-credit learning opportunities. Scholars are encouraged to customize their experiences by engaging in independent studies, student groups, study abroad, and other disability-related activities. The final milestone is completion of an e-portfolio documenting their experiences, products, and learning reflections from across the program.
