Assistive Technology Access to Recreational Opportunities

        Project Description:
$5,000 for the purchase of assistive technology devices (reference itemization in attached
budget) for providing access to recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources (WATR) program activities will allow
consumers with disabilities to trial or borrow the devices to determine if assistive
technology will help them achieve their recreational goals. Devices will also be used for
demonstrations for individuals, families and consumers to help them gain an understanding
of the application of assistive technology for recreation. Once the devices have been used for
an appropriate amount of time (typically one to three years), they will be made available for
reuse for either minimal or no cost depending on the condition of the device.
