State - Leadership Academy

The purpose of the Statewide Leadership Academy is to build a cadre of people throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania who share the vision and values of a society that includes all of it's members. This core of people will be comprised of the next generation of leaders in PA. It is critical that we not only create a new generation of leaders, but we must insure that the next generation is educated and qualified to lead us into the next decade. Temple will: develop a Statewide Leadership Academy; Deliver the two-day course four times annually; provide technical assistance to the groups of emerging leaders; ensure that the groups include people with disabilities, family members, providers, supports coordinators, AE staff and state staff. This group will learn from national experts and from each other. Topics may include: History as Context for the Future, Transformational Leadership; Leadership Self-Assessment; State of the States in Supports to People with Disabilities; Legislative and Political Processes.
