Project Description:
A. Development: In collaboration with the GDOE Division of Special Education, Guam CEDDERS will provide the following: 1. Facilitation of the design of the Special Education Teacher Certification program with the University of Guam School of Education (UOG SOE) 2. Facilitation of the development and implementation of the needs assessment survey of incumbent teachers interested in attaining the special education teacher certification. 3. Development of a hybrid program information meeting to recruit teachers. 4. Development and dissemination of the recruitment packet to include the development of an online teacher application. 5. Coordination and support for the selection of the incumbent teachers(scholars) to be enrolled in the special Education Teacher Certification program. B. Delivery: In collaboration with GDOE Division of Special Education and UOG SOE, Guam CEDDERS will provide the following: 1. Facilitation of the enrollment of selected scholars in to the UOG SOE graduate program. 2. Facilitation of the UOG course delivery will be in-person with coordination of classroom space identified by UOG SOE 3. Facilitation of the procurement of required textbooks 4. Facilitation of the procurement of required PRAXIS Special Education: Core knowledge and application (5354) will include collaboration with UOG SOE for practice activities incorporated into graduate-level special education course offerings.
