Project Description:

The purpose of the SEARCH "Surveillance Enhanced Active Rural Caregiver Help" program is to bring education and awareness about VA resources, including the VA Caregiver Support Program, to rural Veterans, and their caregivers. It also serves to educate and support local agencies and professionals in areas that have under-served populations of Veterans who have high need for VA and community services. The project goals involve 1) establishing collaborations with partners, both inside of and outside of the VA, 2) providing direct education to Veterans and caregivers, and 3) developing data driven models and maps to identify areas that have high concentrations of Veterans with unmet needs.
