        Project Description:
        Provide info and referral to parents and professionals re: services and options for children with special needs from birth to age 5.  Neutral, confidential assistance provided.  Training provided to parents regarding public service systems Early Intervention (EI) Program and Committee on Preschoold Special Education (CPSE) program and how they operate.  Includes specific education about: access, evaluations, eligibility, services, roles and responsibilities, parents' rights and legal entitlements, and transitions between systems.  Continuing education and training to early childhood special education services providers re:  best practice, legislations and regulations, service delivery, and other emerging issues in the field and early childhood outcomes.  Training and technical assistance to general education early childhood professionals re:  availability of EI and CPSE services to increase opportunities for inclusion of children with special needs in typical early childhood settings,identifying disabilities / making appropriate referrals for evaluations/follow up services and support, reciprocal relationships with parents, Universal Design for Learning, collaboration with special service providers on site in general education settings.
