SC Legislative Task Force on Ending Subminimum Wage
Project Description:
South Carolina was the 13th state to pass legislation to end sub-minimum wage for people with disabilities (14c waivers). The legislation included a task force to identify key issues and a plan for successful implementation of the law. The UCEDD director is one of the named positions on the task force. While the legislature was delayed in officially establishing the task force, the task force has been meeting monthly with work accomplished between meetings and is progressing towards completion of its goals.
