Project Description:
The Child Development and Behavioral Health Clinic provides consultations and evaluations for children with developmental, academic or behavioral difficulties. Our clinic is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of developmental pediatricians, psychologists and social workers. The clinic's mission is to provide a comprehensive assessment in order to inform a multifaceted treatment plan. Common diagnoses evaluated in our clinic include autism, intellectual disability, developmental delay, ADHD, and learning disability. Third and fourth year medical students rotate through the Clinic, as do Pediatric Residents. Students from a variety of other disciplines, including psychology, genetic counseling, psychiatry, and family medicine also have opportunities to observe in the clinic. Child Development and Behavioral Health serves as a primary observation site for LEND trainees. Referrals are generated by physicians.
