Project Description:
The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) (along with ASTHO and NACCHO) has been selected as one of three national partners by the CDC's Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) to provide technical support to 108 health departments throughout the U.S. and surrounding territories to aid in addressing COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities. NNPHI is leading the best practices portion of the technical assistance, focusing on elevating best and promising practices to support the OT21-2103 grant recipients in their work. The Rural Institute is a TA Partner working with NNPHI to support the inclusion of people with disability and related partners, strategies and solutions in this work. NNPHI has launched a rapid evidence review of best and promising practices and TA projects for all state, local, and territorial 2103 grant recipients. The rapid review is an environmental scan of resources and tools across the four strategy areas that highlight best, promising, emerging, and novel practices related to reducing COVID-19 related health disparities. The resources and tools selected for inclusion in the review will be practical and applicable to grant recipient projects and can be adapted and implemented in new settings and communities. The product from this review will be a web-based repository currently being built.
