INCLUDES: Network Connectors: DISNET, Disability Inclusion Support NETwork, aims to identify and develop an existing community of National Science Foundation (NSF) researchers conducting disability research, collaborating with the non-academic disability community, and involving students with disabilities. This pioneering project will create a network community portal developed by STEM students with disabilities alongside a research team and Advisory Board dedicated to inclusion of underrepresented groups in STEM fields and healthcare. The project will be crafted with a disability lens to ensure all accessibility features and inclusive components are completed proactively, and will expand STEM disability research across, faculty, students, and the disability community by establishing best practices, unified interests, and shared challenges to be addressed. Serving as its foundation, the project will utilize all active projects, focused on, related to, or applicable to individuals with disabilities.
