Project Description:
This project seeks to identify and analyze actionable and applicable strategies from allied health fields to improve the work conditions of Direct Support Professionals and the quality of life of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). There is special interest in the experience of migrant Direct Support Professionals and their work experiences in the IDD field and the impact the staffing shortages have had on the DSP and IDD communities, to inform solutions to resolve the crisis.
