Project Description:
The Washington Assistive Technology Act Program (WATAP) is based at the University of Washington Center for Technology and Disability Studies (UWCTDS), within the Institute on Human Development and Disability. Supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living (ACL), WATAP has been serving Washington State since 1994. The program provides assistive technology (AT) resources, services, and expertise to individuals with disabilities and seniors to help them in various aspects of their lives, such as education, work, and daily activities.
