Project Description:
To increase the number of early childhood personnel competent in implementing culturally- and linguistically-responsive interventions, collaborating with families from diverse backgrounds, and developing multidimensional understandings of development and learning, and To increase collaboration between 4-year institutions of higher education (IHEs) and community colleges to increase the number of ADP graduates who enter bachelor's degree programs. Use an implementation science framework OECD implementation framework for education policy change (Gouedard et al., 2020), which emphasizes stakeholder engagement and the role of faculty as key agents of change to increase capacity of AA faculty to design and deliver curriculum content that prepares associate degree students to work with young children with disabilities and their families, including those who are multilingual and from racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse populations, and support their full and equitable participation, development, and learning in early childhood programs; To increase the number of early childhood program personnel with associate degrees who have the competencies to meet the needs of our diverse population through exposure to high quality evidence based inclusive practices, and; To create a Pathways Hui statewide group to support pathways to increase the number of ADP graduates who enter bachelor's degree programs.
