Project Description:
Internal Project # 1003891-968
The primary objective is to develop, implement, evaluate, and
disseminate a framework for building capacity for inclusive,
PCOR co-led by people with and without IDD. We have four aims. (1) Establishing the K-HARP network, bringing together
people with IDD and multiple stakeholder partners for monthly,
virtual meetings to advance inclusive health research in Kansas.
(2) Co-creating, implementing, and evaluating a year-long,
virtual learning series focused on building the knowledge, skills,
and capacities of people with IDD to engage in inclusive PCOR/CER. As part of the learning series, researchers with IDD
will engage in experiential learning, and will plan for a
summative World Café to gather information about the pressing health needs of Kansans with IDD. (3) Developing a strategic
plan for sustainability and future grant submissions. (4)
Building capacity to support ongoing growth and sustainability of K-HARP after this project ends and disseminating the
framework.
