Project Description:
Families don't know what they don't know when it comes to critical supports and resources in the disability community for their child with an Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and therefore fall behind when planning or end up in crisis. With the Kansas LEND Family Education Series we hope to change that, give them the information they need prior to their needing it. We will provide relevant topics that span the life course to families across Kansas with a monthly series presented through Zoom and Facebook live and archiving on YouTube for families to be referred to later. It is the expectation that through this series more Kansas families will learn about supports and resources that can help as or before they need them to provide their child with a good life and to independence.
