Project Description:
Provide family leadership and research support to Project PIRR. The purpose of Project PIRR is to prepare interdisciplinary, responsive, and reflective EI/ECSE professionals and social workers serving children with significant disabilities and their families, including children with emotional or behavioral difficulties. Project PIRR will support 30 scholars (20 EI/ECSE; 10 social work). The EI/ECSE students will receive Master of Education degree and the social work students will receive Master of Social Work degree. A total of 18 competencies are addressed through three major categories: working with children and families in high-need communities; providing intensive interventions for children with significant disabilities; and developing interdisciplinary teamwork for optional child and family outcomes.
