Surveillance Enhanced Active Rural

Project Description:

The project will be a collaboration between rural Area Agencies on Aging (AAA), VA Caregiver Support program, the University of Utah Geriatric Workforce Education Program and the SLC VA program office. AAA's Caregiver Support Coordinator will attend training to bring awareness of Veteran Caregiver caller. Once identified, these caregivers will be supported through multiple means including direct to caregiver education, community level education, and connection with VA and community caregiving resources. Each rural AAA will engage in an outreach event specific to Veteran caregivers.
