ACS Enhancing physical activity among older adults using Nao, a socially assistive robot (SAR)
Project Description:
This is an interdisciplinary project (involves researchers from psychology, special education and engineering) using socially assistive robot (SAR) to improve a healthy lifestyle among older adults. Socially assistive robots (SARs) are a combination of socially interactive robots and assistive robots. SAR shares the same goal with assistive robots in helping and providing services for people, and at the same time support social interaction derived from socially assistive robots. In fact, SARs utilize social interaction for the sake of rehabilitation, treatment or learning.
