Project Description:
The Institute for Human Development at the University of Missouri - Kansas City has been contracted by Missouri Assistive Technology for the purposes of identifying and hiring an individual to help coordinate, develop and execute activities focused on assistive technology. Activities to be conducted are intended to enhance current work to improve Missouri's No Wrong Door network. Specific activities to be performed and outcomes to be achieved include: 1. Assist with planning, arranging and implementing a minimum of 10 Missouri Open Door monthly webinars. 2. In partnership with the Missouri Division of Developmental Disabilities, help coordinate, plan and produce a minimum of 5 Tech Fests around the state to further increase knowledge of Missouri's Technology First initiative. 3. Facilitate development of content and supporting materials for the AT Academy, intended to build assistive technology knowledge and capacity statewide. 4. Provide support, primarily through research and product development, to increase internet access among individuals with developmental disabilities. 5. Contribute to data collection, data analysis and content review of select Missouri Assistive Technology programs and services. Guidance related to project goals, deliverables and timelines will be jointly shared by Missouri Assistive Technology and the Institute for Human Development. Final say related to any work activities will be the responsibility of Missouri Assistive Technology.
