Project Description:
PI: Jay Buzhardt (previously B. Boyd)
1.) The KU site will be involved in the entire 5-year duration of the project.
2.) The KU site will assume primary responsibility for training other study sites who will be involved in implementation of the Self Determined Learning Model of Instruction (SDLMI) intervention.
3.) The KU site will recruit a total of 14 middle or high schools across a two year time period that serve adolescent-aged students with autism spectrum or related neurodevelopmental disorders. We will support implementation of the SDLMI intervention with school-based teams via in-person meetings and remote coaching as well as support data collection efforts.
4.) The KU site will work with two community-based agencies who serve families of young children with autism spectrum or related developmental disorders to support their implementation of the Mind the Gap intervention. We will support implementation and data collection efforts.
